Joy in the Guild, 25th April 2006 (Wolverhampton)

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it's late but owing to two pile ups en route we've only just got back!

I've read Simon's account, and can't really add too much more. It looks as if Molly's finally got herself a Jockey who isn't hearing impaired! Liam Keniry followed Stuart's instructions to the letter - ok, she didn't win, but after last years performances, I don't really think that any of us expected her to, and certainly not first time out.

I agree, it looks as though Stuart was spot on with the distance, although I must admit that I was quite surprised at first, as, to quote Paul Kirk, "I thought we'd be looking for a two furlong downhill for her", based on last year, but she seemed to enjoy the trip, and certainly had plenty left at the end.

After the race, Liam said that she responded well when asked, and I think he was as surprised as us when she didn't get third place - it really was very close, and this was reflected in the time it took for the result to be announced.

All in all I think that we should be encouraged by this performance, and hopefully, Molly will gain confidence from it and go on to improve even further.

I hope I haven't rambled too much, but the truth is, I fell asleep about five minutes ago.

Good Night, God Bless.

Jackie
