IT'S A FAMILY AFFAIR!

Evening All, We couldn't decide who got to do the race report, so we thought we'd each have a say.

SECURITY STEVE: Arrived at Warwick at 13.15 hours, made a quick reccy of the course, secured all entrances and exits and issued a code green, after which we made our way inevitably to the Owners & Trainers Bar where we met Stuart, who said that Molly was fine, laid back as usual and had travelled well. We quickly downed our drinks and made our way to the parade ring to greet Tim, Fergus and Molly, who looked great as ever. Stuart instructed Fergus to hold her up and settle her as quickly as possibe, and get her into the race in the last three furlongs, then as Fergus took her down, we all made our way up to the stand.

GEEZE: We settled ourselves in the stand and waited for the race to go off. Molly was second last for around the first third of the race, but never off the pace. When she reached the last bend, Fergus made his move and brought her into the race, where she swiftly went through the pack with ease. Then with three quarters of a furlong to go, she took the lead and was never headed. As she came up to the line, amid cries of 'Come on Molly' (which caused some interest to other punters), she won convincingly by two lengths. We all went crazy as she passed the post and were all relieved that she had finally done it!

JAX: After the race we headed with Stuart and Tim to the Winners enclosure, where Molly looked relaxed and hardly taxed. Fergus said that he thought they'd lost it about half way round as she was almost pulling his arms out to get ahead, but fortunately he managed to hold her for long enough to stay the extra distance.

Then it was time for the presentation, and the course official suggested that as the only lady (don't laught DW), it was only fair that I collected the trophy from the sponsors, O2. Then, the nerves really kicked in when the auction started and I told Steve "if anyone bids, stare them down", but fortunately, there were no bids, so we could all head off to the hospitality room for champers and a re-run of the race (I've got the video which I'll bring to Bath/Windsor on Monday). When Stuart and Tim headed home, the boys and I obviously returned to the bar for more champers.

All in all, another perfect day courtesy of TRG, but most importantly, Molly Goes Home!!!

Jackie, Tim and Steve xxx

p.s Steve would like to apologise to Stuart and Tim, and will obviously pay for any medical treatment required to repair broken ribs etc after the bear hug he gave them.

p.p.s To Anthony the 'Prince of Placepots', Tim almost stole your crown today with five in a row and DW, so you don't feel left out, Security had a pint (or two) for you.
