Joy in the Guild, 2nd July 2005 (Nottingham)

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it's taken a while, but we didn't get back until late last night.

Stuart said that Molly travelled down well - and this was reflected in her demeanour. She looked so laid back in the parade ring that I half expected her to pull up a chair and read a copy of the Racing Post whilst waiting for her Jockey!

The ground was good to firm, and she went well to the start, but Franny advised that she caught one of the rollers at the back of the stall, which made her a little fractious, but she came out ok.

She was travelling well, but froze for a while when she caught up with the main group, but Franny gave her a slight tap with the whip and she responded well, and really picked up over the last 2f.

All in all, Franny seemed very positive about her performance, despite her only coming in 10th, she certainly did seem to have plenty left in the tank, and after discussion with Stuart at the end of the race, he thought that 7f may be better next time out.

It was great to see everyone again, and I'm sure I speak for us all when I say that Molly did us proud for her first time out. Glad to hear from Sue that she travelled back well.

Hope I haven't forgotten anything!

Bye for now.

Tim
