Questions

What are the costs of Ownership?

The cost of Ownership in The Racing Guild is only a fraction of the cost of an individual purchasing and maintaining one thoroughbred horse.

Under normal circumstances, the costs of training and keeping a horse including vet and blacksmiths fees, gallop fees, transport to race meetings, jockey fees and other fees associated with the BHB, the Racehorse Owners Association (ROA), is estimated to be an average of at least £1000 per month annually. This average figure of course varies a lot throughout the year. The costs are lower outside of the flat-racing season and higher when the horse is in full training and racing during the season.

To purchase a racehorse can cost anything from between a few thousand pounds to millions of pounds! The average purchase price of each thoroughbred for the Racing Guild is £12,000. With our excellent purchasing team this gives us good value for money.

Based upon the above, the guild offers the following ways to own a unit in the guild's race horses:

Option 1 - Full Member: 1 Share: One-time payment fee of £600.00 and then £50.00 per month
Option 2 - Full Member: 1/2 Share: One-time payment fee of £300.00 and then £30.00 per month
Option 3 - Associate Member 1 Share: £60.00 per month until bloodstock fee paid and then automatic upgrade to Full Member

Option 4 - Associate Member 1/2 Share: £36.00 per month until bloodstock fee paid and then automatic upgrade to Full Member

Option 5- Gift Membership: £120 for one year membership

Please note that each Owner has an equal share in all of the race horses owned by The Racing Guild, and there are no hidden costs or extras to pay.
