(Rowley Mile Course) - There is a straight course of ten furlongs with slight undulations as far as 'The Bushes', about two furlongs from the finish. From that point it is downhill for a furlong to 'The Dip', the final furlong being uphill. The Cesarewitch course starts on the Beacon Course, which turns right into the straight. The ten furlong straight is wide, galloping track ideal for long-striding horses.

(July Course) - All races up to a mile inclusive are run on the straight Bunbury Mile, which has a steadily increasing downhill gradient after two furlongs, the final furlong being uphill. Races further than a mile start on the Cesarewitch course and turn right into the straight mile. Like the Rowley Mile Course, this is a wide galloping track.

By Road: South-West of the town on the A1304 London Road (M11, junction 9). Free car parking at the rear of the enclosure.

By Rail: Infrequent rail service to Newmarket Station from Cambridge (Liverpool Street) or direct bus service from Cambridge (13 mile journey).
