LINGFIELD PARK Racecourse

Lingfield Park Racecourse, Lingfield, Surrey, RH7 6PQ

Tel: 01342 834800

A 7f 140y straight course with a downhill gradient for about five furlongs, a slight rise and then a gradual fall to the winning post. The round turf course joins the straight at the four furlong post and then follows round the outside of the All-Weather racks to the summit of a slight himm before turning downhill onto the straight. The Derby Trial Course (1m 3f 106y) is very similar to the Epsom Derby Course and provides a good test for the Classic. The re-alignment of the turf course to accommodate the All-Weather tracks has made the turn out of the back straight much less pronounced. However, most of the characteristics remain. The Equitrack Course favours the keen, free-running, sharp-actioned horse, particularly so in sprints, which are run on the turn.

By Road: South-East of the town off the A22 (M25 junction 6). Free parking.

By Rail: Lingfield Station (regular services from London Bridge and Victoria). Half a mile to the course.
