An
oval track of approximately 1m 5f with a straight run-in of
five furlongs. Races of a mile and less are run on a dead straight
course which joins the round course five furlongs from the finish,
the first half being downhill, followed by an ascent gradually
levelling off to the winning post. The bends into the straight
and after the winning post have been cambered to make a more
galloping track.
By
Road: The course is 2 and a half miles South-East of the city
on the A6 (M1, junction 2). The car park is free.
By
Rail: Leicester Station (from St. Pancras) is 2 and a half miles.
