A pear-shaped track, about 1m 7f 110y in circumference with a distinct rise and fall to the mile marker. There is a level run-in of four and a half furlongs, extending to a straight mile, which tapers from a width of 88ft at the five furlong pole to 60ft at the winning post. A round mile joins the straight course at a tangent. This good galloping track is suitable for strong-built stayers and calls for stamina and courage.

By Road: East of the town, off the A638 (M18 junction 3 and 4). Large public car park free and adjacent to the course.

By Rail: Doncaster Central Station (from King's Cross). Special bus service from the station (1 mile).
