perfectly flat, circular course, 1m 73f in circumference, with
a sharp bend to a straight run-in of 230y. Long distance events
are an extreme test of stamina, but for middle-distance races
and sprints, the course greatly favours a sharp-actioned horse.
By
Road: The course is near the centre of the city on the A548
(Queensferry Road). The Owners and Trainers car park is adjacent
to the County Stand.
By
Rail: Chester Station (3/4 mile from the course). Services from
Euston, Paddington and Northgate.
