CHEPSTOW Racecourse

Chepstow Racecourse, Monmouth St., Chepstow NP1 6BE.

Tel: 01291 622260

An oval, undulating course, about 2m in circumference with a straight run-in of five furlongs, which extends to make a straight mile. All races of up to a mile are run on the latter, which is downhill to the five furlong start and then rises sharply for two and a half furlongs before levelling out to the winning post. The changing gradients prevent this from being a really galloping track.

By Road: 1m North-West of the town on the A466 (1 mile from junction 22 of the M4 (Severn Bridge)). There is a free public car park opposite the stands entrance.

By Rail: Chepstow Station (from Paddington, change at Gloucester or Newport). The course is 1 mile from the station.
