An overal track of 1m 4f 25y with 1m3f 144y, 1m 2f 46y and 1m 5y starts set on chutes from the back straight and an uphill running of four furlongs, which bends to the left. There is no straight course but an extension provides for races of five furlongs and of 5f 167y, which run generally uphill and left-handed to a distinct left-handed curve about a furlong from the winning post.

By Road: 2 miles North-West of the city (M4 junction 18) at Lansdown. Unlimited free car and coach parking space immediately behind the stands. Special bus services operate from Bath to the racecourse.

By Rail: Bath station (from Paddington) regular bus service from Bath to the course (3 miles).
